SOGETI EXECUTIVE SUMMIT 2015

COMPUTER SAYS NO
Life in the Age of Autonomous Decision Machines

robot“The smart machine era will be the most disruptive in the history of IT”

With this statement, Gartner clearly positions autonomous decision machines as “The Next Big Thing”. Not in the least because of the enormous potential for productivity increases in all sectors of the economy, creating prosperity for us all.

But why then is Stephen Hawking - considered one of the most brilliant scientists in the world - warning us that the development of this artificial intelligence could mean the end of humanity? And what about tech entrepreneur Elon Musk expressing his concerns in his tweet.

We must be super careful with AI. Potentially more dangerous than nukes

Why do these usually well-informed people consider "The Next Big Thing” as “Our Biggest Existential Threat”? Will autonomous decision machines enhance humanity or exterminate it?

Crucial questions emerge around the following issues:

  • What is your organization’s IQ and how could it be improved?
  • Where in your operations is the human brain overwhelmed?
  • Which insights could be used to change your business model?
  • What is the future of software and what jobs and professions will disappear?

Those are the questions that we will address at this year’s Executive Summit, bringing together a group of visionary thought leaders and executives for a strategic dialogue. To influence how the autonomous decision phase of our computer age will play out, now is the time to explore the rapidly developing relationship between mankind and their machines. Socially, economically as well as ethically!

It is with great pleasure that Sogeti’s Executive Management cordially invites you to attend the Tenth Annual Sogeti Executive Summit that will take place in Stockholm, Sweden on 1-2 October 2015.
