Capgemini partners with Dassault Systèmes...

...for Model Based System Engineering and Virtual Engineering

Paris, June 21st 2017 –  Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has announced an extended partnership with Dassault Systèmes to deliver new solutions for System Engineering businesses and system management expertise. Capgemini aims to be the leader on Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Virtual Engineering approaches to support industrial client issues in product development and architecture of their systems. The offering will be available in France and Germany and will be fulfilled by Sogeti High Tech, the Capgemini subsidiary dedicated to industrial engineering and technological innovation.

Dassault Systèmes will provide its 3DEXPERIENCE platform, a business experience platform whose software applications are used in system engineering for Digital Continuity from Engineering to Manufacturing, while Capgemini takes on the integrator role based on its expertise within industrial engineering businesses, global and system architecture, modelling and simulation, complex system project management and connectivity.

Today, the Aerospace and Defense industry is facing disruptive changes in the products life cycle such as: a reduced time to market, new technology and innovation, seamless integration, and a collaborative and global environment. The virtual engineering through an MBSE approach, simulation and virtual testing is providing an effective solution to these new industrial challenges allowing the model sharing through the collaborative partner ecosystem to reduce iterations in development, the fast assessment of new and innovative technical solutions and ensuring digital continuity from engineering to manufacturing and exploitation. Capgemini and Dassault Systèmes will enable MBSE and Virtual Engineering organizations to be fully implemented into Capgemini’s Digital Manufacturing offer as a key part of the 3D digital continuity stream. Industrial customers will be able to achieve a model compliant system and subsystem implementation during system definition and development. All industrial sectors can be supported: process industry, transport, energy, life sciences and luxury.

Jean-Pierre Petit, Global Head of Digital Manufacturing at Capgemini, explains “We are proud to partner with Dassault Systèmes to deliver new solutions to our clients around MBSE and virtual engineering. Working together, we will offer our customers an efficient management of product line roadmap, effective decision making by modelling and simulating complex behaviour, and fast assessment of technical solution performance, cost and impact.”

Competitive companies strive to deliver delightful consumer experiences yet the development of the smart products that are at the core of these experiences has never been more challenging,” said Laurent Blanchard, Executive Vice President, Global Field Operations (EMEAR), Worldwide Alliances and Services, Dassault Systèmes. “This collaborative partnership with Capgemini will help the industry to efficiently manage the complete development process by adopting a system engineering approach that combines the power of virtual with expert services.
