Capgemini signs partnership with Imag'ing to strengthen its service offering on Digital Continuity

Paris, September 27, 2017 - Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, and its subsidiary Sogeti High Tech, announces a partnership with Imag'ing, a startup specializing in the resolution of complex industrial problems through digital imaging.

Established in 2006, Imag'ing offers a variety of innovative solutions, in particular 3D digitization that allows users to create Digital Twin[1](s) of complex industrial environments. This digital data can then be used to design and integrate new installations, reverse engineer the data, and to manage its industrial heritage. Imag'ing is designed to integrate with tools in Industrial environments of any kind: nuclear, petro-chemical, and pharmaceutical, among others.

With these solutions, Capgemini and Sogeti strengthen their catalog of service offerings dedicated to digital continuity, from the design office to the production chain and the maintenance of tools and manufacturing environments. This portfolio of solutions provides all the know-how to improve the operational efficiency of industrial customers. Beyond its skills in physical engineering and systems, in physical and virtual simulation, Sogeti High Tech supports its customers in three major uses of industrial digital imaging:

  • Simulating complex industrial operations to anticipate and plan the different phases of a plant redevelopment.
  • Ensuring quality control by performing inspections to monitor the progress or level of wear of facilities by comparing them to theoretical numerical models of reference.
  • Optimally managing an industrial heritage by providing a simple and intuitive access platform to view, maintain and share it with different actors.

"Imag'ing is a high value-added start-up that, coupled with the expertise and experience of Capgemini and Sogeti High Tech, provides the market with concrete solutions to accelerate operational efficiency through digital or digital twin industrial environments," explains its manager Aurelien Demangel.

“3D modeling requires significant human and financial investments. 3D digitization by laser photogrammetry or photogrammetry is an effective solution for quickly identifying the needs and the means to be implemented. "That's why we've integrated this solution into our 3D continuity offering. One of the major challenges of the industry is to be able to rely on a numerical definition of the existing one. Today, this technology now allows us to offer a fast, efficient, high quality and low cost service to our customers," explains Jean-Pierre Petit, Head of Capgemini's Digital Manufacturing offering.
